The problem

Scottsdale Family Dental had a homepage that looked nearly identical to hundreds of other practices across Arizona. The hero was a stock photo of a multi-generational family with a generic headline — "Creating a Beautiful Smile!" — and no clear next step for a visitor to take. The phone number sat in the header, the booking button was buried in the navigation, and the services section below the fold used small images and paragraph-length descriptions that nobody reads on mobile.

The site was built on a dated WordPress template and loaded slowly on mobile. The layout fractured into multiple disconnected sections — a three-column team feature, a second three-column services section, and a separate dark-footer section — each with different visual language. There was no single, clear hierarchy guiding visitors toward an appointment.

In a market like Scottsdale — where residents comparison-shop providers online before making any call — a cluttered, slow homepage is a competitive disadvantage.

The goal

Rebuild the site with a single design direction: get new patients to the booking button in as few clicks as possible, while communicating the practice's full range of services clearly and professionally.

What we built

We stripped the homepage back to what actually converts: a clean hero image of the practice interior, a headline that speaks directly to the patient ("Your Family Deserves the Best Dental Care"), and two clear CTAs above the fold — Schedule Appointment and Call Now — visible before a single scroll.

Below the fold, we replaced the fragmented sections with a four-icon service strip (Family-Friendly Care, Same-Day Crowns, Emergency Dental, Cosmetic & Aligners) followed by a clean card grid covering every treatment — General Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Emergency Dentistry, Dental Implants, Crowns & Fillings, Exams & Cleaning — each with a Learn More link to a dedicated service page.

The design uses a navy and white palette with a confident typographic hierarchy, matching the visual expectations of Scottsdale's affluent patient base. Every service page is structured to target a specific local search term. Schema markup and Google Search Console setup were included at launch.
