The problem

Marcus Reid had built his Wix site himself in 2020 and hadn't touched it since. The site scored 34 on Google PageSpeed for mobile. It had no emergency call button despite HVAC being a business where after-hours emergencies are common. The homepage had six different font sizes, three competing calls to action, and a hero image that took 4 seconds to load on a 4G connection.

Reid Plumbing & HVAC was getting plenty of repeat business from existing customers but was struggling to win new customers through Google. A competitor with a newer site was ranking above them for 'HVAC contractor Frisco TX' — the single search term most likely to drive emergency call revenue.

The goal

A fast, credible site that ranks for HVAC service searches in Frisco and the surrounding area, with a prominent emergency call button and a clear service area map.

What we built

The most important design decision was the emergency call button. On mobile, it sits fixed at the bottom of the screen on every page — impossible to miss, immediately available. On desktop it's in the top right of the navigation bar. HVAC emergencies are time-sensitive; we made contacting Reid as frictionless as possible.

We built individual service pages for each offering — air conditioning installation, heating repair, maintenance plans, and emergency call-out — each targeting a specific local search keyword. The homepage hero leads with the service area ('Serving Frisco, Plano, and Allen, TX') so Google understands the geographic scope from the first paragraph it crawls.

Google reviews are pulled in automatically via an embedded widget. Before/after photos of completed jobs are displayed in a gallery section on the homepage. Trust signals are front and centre because in HVAC, trust is what converts a Google search into a booked job.

Our old site was embarrassing. Within two weeks of the new one going live, our inbound calls went up noticeably. The investment paid for itself.
