The problem
Hesse had been serving the Plano area for over three decades and had the reviews to prove it — over 85 five-star ratings. None of that trust made it onto the homepage in any meaningful way.
The site opened with a photo of the company van in a residential driveway and a text overlay that simply read "Family Owned & Operated / Serving Plano & Surrounding Areas." This told visitors almost nothing they'd use to make a decision. Below the fold, the layout fractured: a "Why Hesse?" icon row, a blue-and-purple split section with paragraph copy, a photo strip of equipment, and a large red section titled "Maintenance & Repairs" with dense body text that was nearly impossible to scan on mobile.
The visual language was inconsistent — red, blue, white, and green all competing — and the site used a Yahoo email address in the header, which undermined the credibility of an otherwise well-established contractor. There was no clear emergency call path, no financing information above the fold, and no Spanish-language trust signal despite serving a bilingual community.
The goal
Reposition Hesse as the precision, professional, premium HVAC contractor they already are — with a homepage that leads with trust signals, makes emergency and scheduled service equally easy to book, and reflects thirty-plus years of operational excellence.
What we built
The redesigned homepage opens on a deep navy industrial aesthetic — photography of HVAC pipe infrastructure filling the background — with a bold headline: "Precision Comfort For Your Home." A 98% efficiency rating metric is displayed prominently in the hero, turning a technical credential into an instant trust signal.
Below the hero, a clean "Engineered for Excellence" section pairs a positioning statement with a social proof badge (85+ 5-star reviews) and four benefit cards: Family Owned & Operated, Flexible Financing (via Hearth), Se Habla Español, and Service All Brands. Each card has a short supporting sentence that makes the benefit tangible rather than generic.
The phone number — now a local Plano number, not an email — sits in the header on every page. Dual CTAs (Schedule Service / Learn More) appear above the fold. A "Professional HVAC Services" section further down organises the full range of services with individual page links for AC repair, heating installation, maintenance plans, and commercial work.
